In Brazil’s Amazon, Pará bets on bioeconomy to beat deforestation and 100% Amazonia is part of this mission. In the race to stop the destruction of the native forests and vegetation that cover about 78% of its territory, Pará is implementing an ambitious bioeconomy plan, called PlanBio. The goal is to generate jobs and preserve the environment.

Presented last November at the COP27 climate summit, PlanBio is budgeted to cost at least US$232 million over the next five years, financed by the state and federal government coffers and external sources. Developed over two years, PlanBio aims to encourage environmental research, development, and innovation.

Our company has been part of this process since 2009 and now, with the start of the operations of factory 4.0, we will expand our support for the bioeconomy. When you buy the products that we produce and commercialize, you are also part of this support network to the challenging mission of regenerating the forest and keeping it standing.
